My favourite books - Fiction and Nonfiction

This post may be a different from my usual food related posts, but as the days go by, I feel more inclined to share a little more about me.  Maybe you’ll love it, maybe you’ll hate it, who knows, but here goes...

I've recently rediscovered my passion for reading, so the time felt right to share this. I've shared my favourite fiction, autobiography/biography/memoirs and nonfiction books, with a brief description about why I love each one, as well as a list that many of you kindly sent me last week.

I hope you like this and find it useful. As usual, I would love your feedback.

Spring Clean

I don’t know about you, but it finally feels like spring is in the air (most of the time). The mornings are lighter, the days are longer and the temperature is warmer. I always find that as Spring approaches I begin to feel a little restless. I have an urge to sort things, to declutter and to get myself organised for whatever the next season may bring.

With that in mind, today on the blog I'm sharing my thoughts about a recent trial of Fantastic Services who came and gave my flat a wonderful spring clean, as well as a few of my favourite resources to help you declutter too. I'd love to know your thoughts!

If you want a croissant, then eat one.

Or at least that’s what I’ve been telling myself for years.

Since I shared a bit more about my journey, quite a few individuals have gotten in touch. So today on the blog I’ve shared a little bit about overcoming food anxiety. I’ve shared about a personal struggle and a recent little win. If it resonates, then maybe you can even join me on this one too?

Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2018

This week in the UK, it’s eating disorder awareness week (or #EDAW2018). I've wanted to share something for a while, but I've felt anxious about opening up and about making sure I say the right thing. To be honest, I just didn't know where to start with today’s post, so I went straight in. I've shared some facts about eating disorders, a little bit about my journey, what you can do if you're struggling or know someone who is and a list of valuable resources. Maybe it will resonate with you in some way, maybe it won't. But either way, I hope by sharing this it will help you or those around you in some way to battle this horrible illness.

Little things make big things happen: my tips to reduce landfill waste

This week, instead of my Friday Favourites, I wanted to share something a little different. You may or may not know that this week is Zero Waste Week. This is annual international campaign aimed at reducing landfill. Over the past couple of years, I’ve become more aware of the impact of my actions on the world around me and I’ve been trying to live in a more sustainable and conscious manner.

Today I wanted to share a few of the things that I’ve incorporated into my life to help reduce the amount of landfill waste you produce and to protect the environment. Please let me know your thoughts and whether you'd like to see more posts like this! #mylifeisforliving
