My favourite books - Fiction and Nonfiction

This post may be a different from my usual food related posts, but as the days go by, I feel more inclined to share a little more about me.  Maybe you’ll love it, maybe you’ll hate it, who knows, but here goes...

I've recently rediscovered my passion for reading, so the time felt right to share this. I've shared my favourite fiction, autobiography/biography/memoirs and nonfiction books, with a brief description about why I love each one, as well as a list that many of you kindly sent me last week.

I hope you like this and find it useful. As usual, I would love your feedback.

Spring Clean

I don’t know about you, but it finally feels like spring is in the air (most of the time). The mornings are lighter, the days are longer and the temperature is warmer. I always find that as Spring approaches I begin to feel a little restless. I have an urge to sort things, to declutter and to get myself organised for whatever the next season may bring.

Friday Favourites: The Vurger Co, Eat Vive and The Humble Co

Over the past months I’ve realised one of the things I love about My Life Is For Living is my ability to share and inspire. Whether it’s a new found place, a particular product, a recipe, a person or an event, I’d love to help you find those hidden gems, to decipher between the good and the bad, or maybe the worthwhile and the why bother? Lots of you often ask me for advice, so I figured, a regular “Friday favourites” blog post would be a great place to start. I'm kicking it off with The Vurger Co, Eat Vive and The Humble Co. Enjoy!

Seamore I Sea Pasta Review and Recipe

When Seamore contacted me asking me if I’d like to try I Sea Pasta (made from 100% seaweed), I must admit I was intrigued. Don’t get me wrong, I love our traditional carb filled pasta (my recent trip to Italy definitely rekindled this for me!), but I’m also one to try new things. Seeing as I really enjoy nori as a wrap for my sushi and crispy seaweed to compliment my Chinese stir fry, I said yes. Head to the full post to see how I go on...

Florence Favourites Part 3: Traditional Italian

Part 3 of my Florence foodie finds (the final part) is dedicated to traditional Italian spots that we stumbled across during our stay. I’ve chosen to tell you about two Tuscan spots – SimBIOsi and Acqua Al 2 - as they both served delicious food in charming settings. As Dory from Finding Dory says, sometimes “the best things happen by chance.”
